A growth oriented researcher with over 20 years of Experience in the field of Research & Development, Project Management and Technical Consultancy in the Agriculture and Biotech sectors. He started with a main focus on GM crops (Insect Resistance), Trait Integration, Transgenic expression and Tissue Culture. With years of working he has developed a good understanding also in the areas of Bio-fuels, Regulatory Science, Biotic Stress Management, Fruit & Grain Analytics, Doubled Haploid Technology, R&D Infrastructure: Planning & Establishment, Technology Validation & Scouting, Organic Farming, Nutraceuticals etc. He has a Bachelors degree in Agriculture (UAS-Dharwar), an MS in Biotechnology (Wageningen Agricultural University) and a PhD from Wageningen UR, The Netherlands. He also has gone through the Executive General Management Program from IIM-Bangalore. He has been a consultant to several Global and National Companies, United Nations (UNEP, UNIDO), ICCOA and several other organisations. He has held several positions in Syngenta since 2009 and is currently the Asia Pacific Technology Lead for Vegetables R&D.
